Ms. Cooper will then rotate around the room to stamp all student agendas for attending that SMART Block session. Students have the ability to choose where they go for SMART Block. The only exception is if a teacher requests a student’s presence for a SMART Block session, then the student must go to that teacher. Missing or Absent WorkIf you have missing or absent work and you turned it in, you need to use a sticky note to write your name, the date, and the assignment you turned in.
You then need to either stick it to the missing work poster in my room or fold it and tape it to the poster (if you don’t want your name seen). The sticky note on the poster will then alert me that there’s missing work that needs to be graded. If you don’t complete this process, I won’t grade your missing work because I won’t know it’s been completed. Davis Drive Middle School Remediation PlanFor middle school level courses:
* High school credit courses may vary. 8th Grade ELA Policy: Students can only remediate on standard based mid and/or end of unit assessments that they receive below a 70% on. To complete remediation, students will be required to attend a SMART Block session to complete proofs. If proofs are completed correctly, students can receive up to a 70% as their final score. |
